ABOUT
Attracted by the thermal hot springs and bucolic settings of the upper Napa Valley, Sam Brannan founded the town of Calistoga in 1859 to build the "Saratoga of California." In 1874 he deeded land at the intersection of Washington and Berry Street (the "heart" of Calistoga) for the construction of the Calistoga Community Presbyterian Church.
The church, affectionately referred to as the "Green Church,”has suffered from age and deferred maintenance.
After multiple decades of use not only nurturing the families of the congregation but also providing a home for Calistoga’s nonprofit organizations (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Rotary Club, Calistoga Food Bank and Alcoholics Anonymous) the building is now in need of our help.
"I believe so much in the power of performance I don't want to convince people. I want them to experience it and come away convinced on their own."
