ABOUT BRANNAN CENTER
Brannan Center is a new, non-profit community space and performing arts venue currently under construction in Calistoga, the northernmost town of the Napa Valley. The mission of Brannan Center is to empower the greater UpValley community with opportunities to experience community programming and performing arts that celebrate culture and promote vitality in our region.
With a scheduled opening in October 2025, Brannan Center will be a contemporary, multipurpose building designed to be a gathering place and home to many community groups who do not have adequate facilities for meetings and activities, a home for arts groups throughout the Napa Valley, and a destination for private events such as weddings, quinceañeras, and parties.
In addition to serving as a community center and special event venue, Brannan Center will also present diverse, multidisciplinary arts performances, and produce (or co-produce through partnerships with other organizations) enrichment programs such as classes, workshops, and camps for everyone from children to seniors.
Brannan Center's facility – a restored and renovated 150-year-old church – will comprise two performance halls (capacity 110 – 170 guests, depending on configuration), three flexible spaces for meetings, classes, workshops, and conferences, a demonstration kitchen, and an outdoor terrace.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Brannan Center Technical & Facilities Manager, the Event Technician provides overall technical support for events taking place at Brannan Center, including providing sound, lighting, or video functions, facility set-up assistance, and other event production requirements.
Event Technicians will be required to arrive at scheduled times to load in and set-up gear for performances, meetings, classes, conferences, and other similar events. Depending on the area of expertise of the technician, they will operate equipment necessary for each event - this could include audio setup, wiring and mixing, lighting focus, programming and operation, or video camera operation, livestreaming, switching, sending to display(s), and recording. Other duties may include stage management or assistance to other technicians.
