Join Registered Dietitian, Allison McKeany, for a discussion about the top cause of death for both men and women in the U.S., including key labs and tests to discuss with your doctor and how lifestyle habits can—and can’t—shape heart health. Continue the conversation in the kitchen with a cooking demo and taste test featuring an unexpected heart-healthy dish: Mix & Match Frittatas.

March 7 - Insight into Health: Healthspan & the Kitchen
What is health, anyway? Join Registered Dietitian, Allison McKeany, for a discussion about “healthspan,” explore what healthy means to you, and learn how daily habits support long-term well-being. Continue the conversation in the kitchen with a cooking demo and taste test featuring seasonal roasted veggies and delicious drizzles.

April 18 - Insight into Health: Promoting Cognitive Health
What do you do for your cognitive health? Join Registered Dietitian, Allison McKeany, for a discussion about the risk factors for cognitive decline and the everyday foods and routines that can help promote brain health. Continue the conversation in the kitchen with a cooking demo and taste test featuring brain-healthy ingredients and meals: olive oil vinaigrettes and meal-worthy spring salads.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Allison McKeany, MS, RD, is a Registered Dietitian from Sonoma, CA.  For the last 15 years Allison has been working in and around Sonoma Valley to make health more approachable by focusing on connection, understanding, and empowerment. Allison has unique expertise in lifestyle interventions for cognitive health and is the newest host on KSVY community radio, live on air with Insight into Health every Monday at 7pm.
